A Letter To You

Hey, you! First and foremost, you are amazing! I know you are probably feeling terrible seeing your little one not well. You probably feel like the worst person, but I can assure you that you are not. Kids get sick, but our hope and prayer is that your sick kid gets well soon. The truth is, caring for a sick kid can be extremely exhausting and taxing on the body, so in between caring, please don’t forget to care for yourself!

Keep washing your hands. Keep cleaning the frequently touched surfaces. Keep speaking life over your sick little. Keep doing your part, and allow God to do His!

Here are some scriptures you can insert your child’s name and speak over their body to declare:

  1. Jeremiah 17:14 says, “Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise” (NIV).

  2. Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (NIV).

  3. Jeremiah 30:17 says, “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD” (NIV).

  4. James 5:14 says, “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven” (NIV).

  5. Psalm 118:17 says, “I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done” (NIV).

Amen to all prayers prayed and words declared. I agree in faith with you and yours over the once sick child that has now become healed, restored, and made whole. Like always, thank you for choosing to parent on purpose.

Don’t forget you are exceptional and if you have forgotten the power and essence of your existence, remind yourself with this:

  1. I am doing everything I can to keep my child safe, healthy, and well.

  2. I am not in control of what happens, but I am in control of my reaction.

  3. I was created to care, and I am doing my very best to care well.

  4. I am love, and I’m giving all the love I can to the one whom I love.

  5. I have been given this child to care for and nurture. I receive the responsibility and the strength to do just that. I can do hard things, too, and this, too, shall pass.

Thank you for taking this moment with me and accepting the things you have power over. Please feel free to download our FREE COLD SEASON ESSENTIALS GUIDE! We wish you all the best in a season that may feel like unrest. May you receive the ease and peace to fight through.

It is well. God is at work. God will and has worked it out. Take heart.
